A little while back, some auto experts uncovered some pre-release info regarding the upcoming 2013 Mazda CX-9. At the time, the details were slim, but Tom Dolan Reno Mazda and other Mazda fans were eager to gather them up nevertheless. Now, we'd like to follow up with information surrounding the full-fledged reveal.


The renewed Mazda CX-9 debuted at the Sydney auto show in Australia. The most obvious changes to the new model are a face design inspired by the attractive KODO design language and a change in hue as well with three new exterior color options. On the inside, Mazda has given the interior a more superior style, improved cabin quality and slithered in an army of new features. Specifically, those include the following:


  • Human Machine Interface (HMI) for the infotainment system
  • Forward Obstruction Warning System
  • Lane Departure Warning System
  • High Beam Control
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Darkened the CX-9 cabin with Bordeaux-coloured decoration panels
