There is nothing like starting off the year with a
diverse new
Mazda lineup that proves to be a crowd pleaser. By looking
at the January sales results, it is clear that this could be a very strong year
for our favorite automaker. With several vehicles performing better this year
than last, Mazda is definitely off to an exciting start.
One of the top performers this year is the sporty Mazda3. It was able to sell about 8,074 vehicles, 74 percent of which had the all new SKYACTIV-TECHNOLOGY on board.
Another strong performer was the Mazda5. This January it saw an increase of 61.4 percent over last year with 1,880 vehicles sold. In line with this record was the Mazda CX-9 which saw a sale of 2,116 units, an increase of 1.4 percent over last year. This January produced the strongest month of sales for both vehicles.
In terms of great efficiency and advanced technology, the new 2014 Mazda6 also proved to be a hot item this year. With 666 vehicles sold in January after its debut, dealers have been even finding it difficult to keep up with the demand. Drivers in the greater Reno area and beyond can't seem to get enough of the efficiency offered by the 2.5L SKYACTIV-G engine and the other innovative technology it features.
