For quite some time now, rumors have been circulating regarding the new 2014 Mazda3 model. All of us at Reno Mazda have been anxious to hear more details about what to expect, and we are excited to announce that they are finally here. After learning what the new compact will be bringing to the lineup, you'll see exactly what we are talking about.
Starting with its exterior enhancements, the Mazda3 will feature the brand's signature KODO design language, giving it the curves that make it appear as if it's always in motion. It will also sport a five-pointed front grille, enlarged fenders and slanted headlights, each providing the model a bold, sporty appearance.
In terms of performance, the Mazda3 offers a SKYACTIV-G 2.0 -liter gasoline engine that can generate 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. For a little extra power, drivers can also choose the SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter option which can crank out 184 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. Both engines can be coupled with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, and include the unique i-ELOOP brake energy regeneration system which improves energy efficiency.
Looking more closely at its enhanced technology, it will feature some impressive innovative features on board. This includes the innovative Active Driving Display which gives easy access to information like navigation, vehicle speed, and much more. Its infotainment system will be new and improved as well. While no information has been released yet regarding fuel efficiency ratings or an estimated time of the Mazda3's release, we will be sure to keep you updated right here on our Mazda blog.
