When we think of the Mazda MX-5 Miata, we usually picture ourselves cruising around with the top down while our skin soaks up some sun. It's hard to imagine it being any better than that, until Mazda introduced an even more stylish version of the roadster.
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed which takes place in the U.K., the automaker unveiled the Mazda MX-5 Miata GT concept model. Just to clarify, this isn't an entirely new model but instead a Miata enhanced with kit by Jota Sport that gives it an extra power boost. It brings its output up to an impressive 203 horsepower. This is all thanks to a sports exhaust system and the addition of a redesigned engine control unit (ECU). The kit also boosts the car's agility with an enhanced suspension.
This speedy convertible certainly sounds like it'd be a blast to drive, but the potential of it making its way to dealerships like Tom Dolan's Reno Mazda is still uncertain. For now it will most likely remain exclusive to the U.K., leaving us to simply daydream about test driving one.
